How to Talk Horse

Linda is considered the leading expert on horse psychology-based training and mindful riding, empowering her students to be better leaders, riders, and communicators through her unique approach to teaching.

Students are achieving breakthroughs in days, not years. The secret sauce is twofold. First is the sequential nature of the program, where the building blocks quickly form the foundation for success in a simple step-by-step manner. Second is the unique way Linda has discovered to synchronize the energy between horse and rider.

When you learn how to talk horse, you'll understand what your horse is trying to tell you, why he behaves the way he does, and how to take your conversations and relationship to an entirely new level.

The results? Nothing short of transformational.

Linda's Story

A Lifelong Journey of Horse & Human Connection

Born in Singapore in 1958 to a Scottish father and Swiss mother, Linda's eclectic upbringing shaped her as a communicator and educator. Her family moved to Sydney when she was 12, and she got her first horse at 13 — riding on the beach, in national parks, at Pony Club events, and even to school every day.

After university studies in teaching, sociology, and psychology, Linda became Education Director for the prestigious skincare company Ella Baché — a role she held for 12 years. During that time she immersed herself in world-class personal development programs under masters including Robert Kiyosaki, Dr. Stephanie Burns, and Zig Ziglar, sharpening the accelerated-learning philosophy she would later bring to horsemanship.

Her return to horses in her 30s was sparked by Regalo — a half-crazed Thoroughbred who led her to a young Pat Parelli. Together they built Parelli Natural Horsemanship into a worldwide phenomenon, challenging equestrian norms and earning both fierce critics and raving fans. Linda's contributions included the Horsenality™ model and the celebrated bridge from natural horsemanship to dressage.

After three decades, Linda stepped out on her own and co-founded Happy Horse Happy Life and Pegasus Personal Growth — creating an entirely new curriculum built from the ground up to deliver faster, deeper, more empowering results for horse and rider alike.

Hoover was recently diagnosed with Cushing's, and that pushed me into finding someone in our area that can support us in the journey ahead. This was our first outing since the clinic, and it appears I have a different horse. He came off the trailer totally dry, not drenched with sweat from head to tail (a real first when he hauls alone). He unloaded and I immediately went to “do nothing.” He spent a minute or so looking around, then calmly started eating hay at the side of the trailer. After the meet and greet and diagnostic discussion in the parking lot, the new vet took my husband into her clinic to show him the facility and her toys, and I followed with Hoover to let him check things out. He was a super star walking into the clinic with its strange footing and many sights. The staff loved him and kept commenting on how calm and well behaved he is. My husband kept muttering, “Who are you and what have you done with Hoover??” I just grinned all the way home!

A big thank you to Linda and to you for making this happen. Can’t wait till next year!
